Key terms used across brand pages in this index.


A

APK — Android Package Kit. The file format used to distribute and install apps on Android devices. Gaming platforms sometimes distribute their apps as APKs outside of the Google Play Store. Players should only download APKs from a platform's official link.

API — Application Programming Interface. The connection layer between a platform's backend data systems and its user-facing interface. Relevant to how quickly live data (scores, game results) is delivered.

Deposit Limit — A responsible gaming tool that allows players to set a maximum deposit amount per day, week, or month. Required on PAGCOR-licensed platforms.


J

K

KYC (Know Your Customer) — The identity verification process platforms use to confirm a player's identity before enabling full account functionality, particularly withdrawals. O

OTP (One-Time Password) — A single-use verification code sent via SMS used to confirm login or transaction actions. Standard security practice on Philippine gaming platforms.


P

PAGCOR — Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. The government body responsible for licensing and regulating gaming operations in the Philippines. Platforms with a valid PAGCOR license are subject to regulatory oversight and player protection requirements.

PG Soft — A major game provider whose titles are distributed across Philippine gaming platforms. PG Soft games are noted for high-quality visuals and varied mechanics.

Platform Family — A group of platforms that share a brand naming convention, common ownership, or shared technical infrastructure. Examples in this index include the JL family, JLJL family, and SuperAce family.


R

RNG (Random Number Generator) — The system that determines outcomes in online slot and table games. On certified platforms, RNG systems are independently audited to confirm fairness.

RTP (Return to Player) — The percentage of total wagers a slot game returns to players over a large number of spins. A game with 96% RTP returns ₱96 for every ₱100 wagered on average over time.


S

Self-Exclusion — A responsible gaming tool that allows players to voluntarily block their own access to a platform for a defined or indefinite period.

W
